I don't understand why we need any more missions to Mars. Ever. At all.
So far we have discovered;
There isn't shit there
There was never shit there.
It would be spectacularly expensive to build shit there and
You couldn't really do shit with it anyways.
It comes down to this: if you can't breathe there, no one wants to be there, because there is nothing to do there.
All the useless rock analysis and Star Trek prattle doesn't change that.
This is essentially geologic socialism. Its is an innately failed 'state'. It is literally more worthless than Antarctica. You can't buy creation any more than you can buy evolution.
I just get sick of people asking for money to stare at the sky. Space is literally nothing. Gawking at places we will never see as if we could has the same odor of men who claim they really are women if you just have faith in future science and use your imagination. You're basically paying to fund autism as an institution rather than a defect of reason.
The only value of anything in space is either what you can get from it or put in it. So far, that seems to be little more than higher ground to target people from or an area to build reliance on communication systems so isolated that the beings depending on them literally can't reach them, just another system of control. Pretty photos and puzzles for math enthusiasts does not make a benefit for mankind.
tldr- There is no shame in accepting we are terrestrials. If you don't appreciate what you are made of, you can't find peace in anything.
