Jews have no true central leadership, other than the commandments, and therefore all Jews are expected to be smart enough for self determination. Intelligence is something deeply valued in secular Jewish life (and most Jews are secular). I was raised in a Jewish family and I was reading books about evolution, biology and physics while my peers were learning about a 6,000 year old Earth etc...
There is virtually nothing you can say in a Jewish community that would get people mad at you. You can even question God and say that Moses was high af when he saw the burning bush; that theory in particular is even popular among orthodox Jews.
In contrast, Christians have flocks (Churches) where only the elders need to be intelligent, and the flock is expected to do what the elders say "on faith". In fact, Christian life has incentivized ignorance because an ignorant flock is needier and easier to direct, since they are incapable of self determanation. Simply opening your mouth in a Christian flock is call for banishment, because like Jesus said, speak only to say yes or no.
Christianity strives to be essentially a perfect top down fascist system, while Judaism strives to be a perfect decentralized system.
Its not about which system is better or worse, just different strategies, but ask yourself which system is better suited to innovation? Fascism that limits thought, or decentralized that encourages free thought?
