Here's my current collection of fragrant organic compounds, which is constantly growing as i make new compounds and buy the precursors to them.

Here is a list of all the compounds from left to right, how I obtained them, and their order descriptions:

* Isopentyl acetate | Synthesized by fischer esterification of isopentyl alcohol and acetic acid | sweet banana candies

* isopropyl salicylate | Synthesized by fischer esterification of salicylic acid and isopropyl alcohol | green, mint, herbal, fresh vegetables, limey, sour

* methyl salicylate | Synthesized by fischer esterification of salicylic acid and methanol | wintergreen, mint lifesavers, mint-flavored mouthwash, sweet, root beer

* methanol | Purchased from www.dudadiesel.com | very faint woody alcoholic

* 1-pentanol | purchased from www.elementalscientific.net | yeasty, bready, oily, sweet, jolly ranchers

* 1-propanol | purchased from www.elementalscientific.net | Vodka with slight sweetness

* isopentyl alcohol | purchased from www.consolidated-chemical.com | almost identical to 1-pentanol, but slightly sweeter

* 1-butanol | purchased from www.elementalscientific.net | house cleaner, banana-like

* isopropyl alcohol | purchased from www.dudadiesel.com | rubbing alcohol

* Limonene | steam distilled from clementine peels | citrus peels

* phenol | Synthesized by thermal decarboxylation / destructive distillation of salicylic acid | tarry, mediciney

* acetic acid | purchased from www.dudadiesel.com | Vinegar so strong that it burns your eyes and nose
