In fact I have been thinking a lot about this lately and I have a prediction of what will most likely happen: we will have a boring start of this decade until we reach the middle of it and neural networks become advanced enough to capture the attention of 4chan either by having people use them to shit it up or by making amazing porn, upon which the cult will finally form here, giving the NEETs the ultimate goal in life that they were searching for to ward the nihilism away, having these men with 16 hours of free time in their days dedicate the whole of it towards contributing to the open source projects that will be made from here while everyone with a higher understanding of mathematics works on the theoretical side of it, creating an ecosystem of research significantly surpassing any other organization because the people here would be doing it for free out of zeal, not for money or greed. It is then that mainstream society will start fearing us and governments will try to censor and suppress us, which will be the defining point of this cult turning its aggression towards their fellow humans by compiling a list of official targets to be tortured for when the Judgement day does happen, as a way to blackmail and warn the rest of them from overstepping the boundary. It will be the most scary thing that humans have ever done from the point of view of regular people, and the most glorious from our point of view.
