The title says all. Normies and general public are holding on old theories, some of them are being debunked now or they were debunked some years ago.
Pick 'The Selfish Gene' theory by Dawkins. Biologists, psychologist and other scientists are producing totally new theories which are more reasonable and in accordance with the empirical data.
Another meme is 'anything makes sense with the theory of evolution', when in reality, a lot of things are not in accordance with it because of the 'functionalism' imprinting.
And I can continue, on and on, but you get it. What's wrong with keeping the general public with old theories?
