>>11254072If you want a full G, at least 225m in radius, that is, the "floor" of the station has to be rotating 225m away from it's center of mass. You can make the station hollow but a cylinder with a diameter of 450m is going to be quite an undertaking. More likely the station could be a collection of habitat tubes locked together end-to-end, supported by long corridor elevators attached to a central hub, held steady by a mesh of suspension cables. On the other hand there's no indication that a full g of simulated gravity is necessary to maintain human health, and 1/3g's can be created on a station with a radius of only 68m or a diameter of 136m, it's also possible for most all people to adapt to more than 2RPM, 3 or even 4 might be doable with three days to a week of acclimation. With an RPM of 3 your station need only be 200m in diameter to generate a full g and could be as small as 40m in diameter. Any smaller and you'd notice coriolis effects like your shower water pouring slightly sideways and stuff of that nature.
