This means electrons repel each other.
So if that image is a representation of like a cathode ray tube, with a piece of material in between the electron source and the phosphor screen that glows when the electrons hit, those electrons are going to be hitting the twin slits and creating electrostatic buildup and discharge,
Negatively charged electrons are building up on the slits, repelling the electrons moving past and altering their pathway, this also creates interference between the electrons that are now travelling in a randomised pattern. This self interference and interference at the slits causes a randomised "wave" like interference pattern.
Not the pure wave interference pattern as shown with Thomas Young's twin slit experiment that proved light was a wave.
Or the two "shadows" of the slits you get with a particle (say firing a machine gun at 2 twin slits)
But with electrons you get a hybrid of these results, a "wave-particle" interference pattern.
Misinterpreted experimental results from like a hundred years ago.
