Sleep apnea and benzodiazepnes (XANAX / Halcion)

I have a deviated nasal septum and I have been told that I snore during the night.

I always breathed with my mouth and had adenoids as a child (I underwent surgery).

I probably have apnea sleap but I never checked if I have it or not .

I am a 29 year old European male normal weight (1.75 x 70 chilo).

I don't smoke and I don't drink.

I am very anxious and sometimes I take powerful Benzodiazepines to sleep because it is the only way to have a night's sleep.

I take Halcion.

I wanted to ask you if I risk my life by doing so ... is this life-treathing?

because I'm afraid of being suffocated in my sleep ... is it possible that those who have sleep apnea and take benzodiazepines suffocate in their sleep?

Can the aggravation of sleep apnea due to benzodiazepines lead to suffocation in sleep? I only take one tablet.
