Yayoi are of a specialized Mongoloid type that migrated from Korea, but have origins further south. There is also a third type that migrated through Okinawa, probably linked to Taiwanese Aboriginals.
Modern Japanese people are mostly Yayoi with admixture from the two other types, depending on the region.
