However, all of the land is essentially floating on liquid magma. The massive weight of glaciers can push down on a landmass and make it sink, and when that ice melts the landmass can rise. When land rises in one area the sea floor can sink in another. The whole planet is like a water balloon, when you squeeze it in one place the rest bulges out.
It doesn't mean that the sea level can't rise beyond what it is now, but it is a factor.
