What is the actual evidence for or against global warming?

That's a common statistical fallacy. As long as the temperature remains within the 95% confidence interval, .2 degrees away from the predicted mean is not any more statistically significant than .6 degrees away.

It is absolutely significant when policy prescriptions are made, with great economic and social impacts, to keep the mean temperature under a certain value. Do you hear the UN saying "we must take immediate action to keep the temperature from rising above 0.9-2.1 degrees"?

Yeah, what the fudge is going on here? A recently released paper (https://doi.org/10.1029/2019GL085378) shows very nicely how even the early models of the 70s got it fucking spot-on.
