Please demonstrate why I am wrong, because this thought is bothering me.
If you are not a scientist, but you accept scientific findings as obvious unquestionable truths, you are no different to a religious fanatic
A lot of people who laugh at flat earthers and climate change denialists are not scientists. They couldn't, if their life depended on it, demonstrate or back up any of the scientific findings they claim to be obvious, explain the data analysis, or any such thing.
They are 100% blindly believing a vaguely defined group of people they call "the scientists" or "the expert" of even just "science". People like this can't laugh at flat earthers. They are equally ignorant, but just happen to choose the correct side because they are doing as told. Why should that be praised? Why do they pretend to be any better?
Picture somewhat related. It's a random man that happens to be a bachelor in Psychology and English Literature but somehow convinced a large number of people that he knows a ton about science.
