I used a standard pgre prep book and solved old exams. Got a 950. No point in learning "exam strategy" if you don't have the physics down. Most people I took it with spent all their time learning how to read questions fast and do process of elimination. That only gets you so far, and the rest is entirely dependent on how much experience you have actually solving physics problems.

The F in QFT is for "fields." Likely the only field theory you've ever studied is electrodynamics. You don't really have any context for QFT if you haven't taken a course that was at the level of Jackson's book.
