Modern Materials and design: Plate Armor

No.11245729 ViewReplyOriginalReport
So still not sure if better asked on /k/ or even /b/ but I'll ask here for now anyway:

Plate Armor basically was the top tier defense before guns began to become more common but they could still be defeated with some work.

Using modern materials and design philosophy what changes could be made to late era plate to serve its role better?

What changes could be made to give it more coverage or better ergonomics.

How about comfort and heat dispersal? Are the materials traditionally used more than sufficient or could modern alloys see better use?

What could be done to better absorb shock from taking hits so as to better the long term combat endurance of the one using the armor?

What could be done to maximize the independence of the one using the armor? I.e. ease of maintenance and putting it on or removing it in mid-to-late medieval war conditions?

I'm sure you get this question minimally once a month so feel free to ignore this.
