I also did say we can perceive it in an abstract sense, which is what we do when we visualize 2D and 3D objects, however, we can take them a step further and perfectly reproduce them within our physical space. With 4D you can not, due to our nature. You can certainly visualize what something within 4D may look like, or behave, I mean we did that with the image you posted in the OP, however we can not perfectly recreate such an object within our 3D space, as it does not support it. Same goes with our thinking of the object, we fundamentally can not perfectly visualize beyond the 3rd dimension of physicality, but we can trick our minds to believing it can, and thus we can play fun mind games and have thought experiments with 4D.
