Chemist of /sci/ what are some drugs that can be easily synthesized, i'm looking for something that has similar properties to LSD and MDMA (not simultaneously of course) are there any or should i just bite the bullet and make one of the two?

LSD is harder to synthesize than MDMA, by a significant factor.
Part of that is also resource sourcing, as for LSD you need ergotamine/lysergic acid from the ergot fungus.

I also heard something about cultured ergot lacking ergotamine, or producing very little, due to insufficient nutrition. Although, I don't have, and never could, find any source on that.
If true, you would need to grow a rye crop and deliberately contaminate it with ergot.

Do NOT eat raw ergot, you will die. It's highly poisonous.
However, extraction of LSA from Hawaiian woodrose or morning Glory is easy enough. Just grind the seeds, remove contamination with zipo fluid, dry them down and extract with citric acid solution. Then use ammonia to raise the PH above 10 and extract again with butane. Keep the butane layer and evaporate it dry in the dark. What is left over should be relatively pure LSA. Alternatively, just eat like 20 woodrose seeds or buy some mescaline cactus online. You'll trip balls.

Idk never done it. However on reading Wikipedia it seems it's 0.1-1% w/w in the seeds. Assuming a 60% efficiency on extraction it's between 600mg-1g/100g seeds. This seems to be very little but 1mg = 1 dose. So it would be quite potent albeit hard to weigh.

All doses are in seeds from a quick Google search. Idk, I'd guesstimate 10x less potent than LSD but it's probably less, however you could always take more later sorta hard to do the opposite.

You can use cold water extraction to extract LSA and its good to go.
Seed itself is not poisonus but it causes nausea. Cold water extraction is good way to extracg lsa. This is by far the easiest way to havd a drug.

Morning glory seeds(heavenly blue) are just fine and you can get it more easily

So you do it kinda opposite of me with extra steps!?:

>grind the seeds
>remove contamination with zipo fluid
>dry them down
>extract with citric acid solution
>use ammonia to raise the PH above 10
>extract again with butane
>Keep the butane layer and evaporate it dry in the dark.

The way I do it is:
>medium grind seeds in coffee grinder
>put in dry sealable glass container, only metal and glass allowed plastic and paint dissolves
>Add Acetone, stir, let sit 2-3 hours
>Don't stir again, keep the seed particles settled at the bottom
>Decant Acetone alkaloid pull without losing seed material best as possible over a paper coffee filter in a large metal sink drain over another large glass sealable container
>Seal the glass jar with the Acetone pull
>Do x2 more pulls on the seed material, using a new coffee filter each time.
>With all x3 Acetone pulls in the "collective" jar, filter that through 1 more filter nested in a metal sink drain into a large glass measuring cup.
>pour Acetone x3 seed pull onto large flat glass pan. Must be glass pan, create as much surface area as possible
>Evap
>The residue left caked to the pan gets room temp distilled water poured on it. Make sure to boil the distilled water from the store in case they add chlorine and didn't tell you. Chlorine kills LSA, supposedly. No hot water, heat also kills LSA.
>Add a good pinch of tartaric acid, don't bother making it even though it's not that challenging. Just buy a "Extreme Chemistry" kids set in the craft section of Walmart as it has it along with other goodies.
>swish the tartaric acid water around all over, namely on the caked alkaloids for 15-20 minutes. A blacklight will help you see the alkaloids going into the water.
>Filter through coffee filter once and done.

Notes: Remember to dampen each coffee filter with a small amount of the solvent being used. So, Acetone dampen filters for the Acetone alkaloid filtration.
