Find some way to have them move around using less fuel than airliners so they can be used for ultra-economical cross-ocean deliveries where the trip time isn't an issue for the customer.

In order to withstand the atmospheric pressure against a vacuum, the frame and the covering would have to be made of a tremendously durable and likely heavy material.
Some helium and carbon based tech sounds preferable.
