I'm thinking of self-medicating for predominantly inattentive ADHD.
For years, I couldn't figure out why I can't seem to focus on anything. I can get very absorbed in an interest, but to the exclusion of everything else, and then I drop it the next day. I keep trying to keep the possessions I own to a minimum, getting rid of all distractions, but then I just settle down into a kind of hibernation. It's as if I need a stream of distractions to wake my brain up, but it's different from being addicted to entertainment; I can go without them, but I just shut down. And when I am supplied with distractions, I can't elevate them into hobbies, and definitely not into projects. I can't get anything done.
Would any of these drugs be of help? I know where I can get modafinil, but maybe there's something better suited.
