My first semester as a math major ended terribly. I got a C+ in my intro to proofs class and my overall Math GPA is a 3.31
Should I just kms?

Absolutely not.

My first test in college was an ODE test and I got a D, mostly because I didn’t know how to study. I turned out fine.

Proofs are fucking hard but don’t be upset if it takes awhile. Keep at it.

Its really bad. You don't want to have any grades below a B in core courses for your major, and ideally nothing below an A. Its alright to get a C+ in a math course if you aren't explicitly trying to go to graduate school for math, but if you are it looks very bad. Just thinking logically, if you can't hack it in a basic proofs course imagine how hard later courses will be when every one of your peers in the class is a math major, the professors will be even harder on you since they expect you all to be competent and preparing to do research.
