>>11238050I assume they mean the dumb cunts that assume the reader already had 20,000 years experience in maths for an introductory book.
You know the ones. Those books that don't explain shit, not even at a basic level, they just dive right in.
What the fuck is the point of an EDUCATIONAL BOOK that doesn't bring you up to speed on what the fuck the book is about?
Hate that shit so much.
It is incredibly common in the programming and 3D graphics industry. Incredibly common.
I dare you to make a proper, 3D gaming engine similar to UE4 from scratch, right now. Good luck. Doesn't need to be as technically fast as it, just feature-complete.
Proper texturing, lighting, transparent materials, etc.
Every fucking resource is trash. Every one of them.
I've seen countless examples of people with tutorial sites on how to make 3D engines and every SINGLE one of them always "die" at the stage where you actually get the matrices in place to rotate 3D geometry around. But god forbid you rotate that little cube off-screen, enjoy your glitchy textures running off to infinity, because none of them got to the point of fixing it.
Don't post some DX12 trash book, that doesn't count. That's a layer above what we are talking about. That's like describing physics using English instead of maths. It's a layer removed, a mere abstraction.
Naw, we speaking the pure maths behind making a proper, 3D engine from scratch that doesn't look like a 90s aborted fetus game.
