I'm a high schooler and I cheat in STEM classes like programming cause I suck at it and my brain is mush. I feel like I'm always behind everyone and can't learn fast enough. Am I too stupid for STEM?

Let me summarize what you learn within 2 years of starting a STEM program.
Practice, do the homework problems WITHOUT copying or looking at solutions, you must struggle and deal with that state of mind because that's part of learning, fundamentally. It might not be the case in high school unless you take college courses because you're never really challenged or you find a way around it like now, but if you want to have any hope of succeeding in a STEM field you NEED to develop resilience and self discipline to practice. This might not even get through to you until it's too late, however. Personally, I had people tell me this for years but I ignored it for several reasons, both my conscious fault and not. Just remember that behind that barrier of difficulty lies success. Everyone who achieves or discovers something ends up feeling hopeless, or like the problem is impossible. But if you keep chipping at it and making incremental progress in steps and/or leaps, you will eventually break through to victory.

OP LISTEN. I used to cheat in physics; why? because either the shit we learned you could learn in your bathtub OR I knew it wasn't the whole truth OR I had already known it.
I got a C in physics but there was one point when the professor had me repeat myself when I explained atoms AREN'T the smallest particles, that the electromagnetic force is what we use to disCERN (get it?) weak interactions.
I'm actually hoping to start a fund for underages to get ALL the texbooks you'd need to learn from

the day you turn 18 make a abet account, find out if any of the Professional Engineer's Exams interest you & get books on the field. Take it in a state like Wisconsin (you might have to go there) where there's no requirements to take it. If you can pass I'm sure you can land a job and get trained for lab positions.

I can learn advanced stuff like calculus (I did it without cheating) but that's because I spent hours beforehand fucking banging my head on the wall and rereading and rereading the same shit because I can't learn things easily or quickly. I never was able to keep up with other kids in classes where I didn't actively try and spent hours studying like programming. It sucks being a brainlet.

I really don't have any interests, I am a loser with no hobbies. I'd work garbage trucking if it pays a lot (and it does) but I'm just afraid of automation.

Not him but I like science and math so I thought I'd go to medical school, I decided to take a college course(Canada) that would give me prerequisites for it math, chem, bio, english, physics.
The 4 months before I was planning on studying hard(which I've never done before because In high school I was planning on being a leech on society living off of welfare and a 2 days a week job), which I didn't end up studying because I fell back into my high school habits of doing fuck all all day (I wanna blame the math course for going through basic arithmetic, long division, ratios and other basic shit for the first 2 months but I know no ones but my own fault)
For this first semester I got 70 in english
80 in math and physics 85 in bio and 78 in chem.
Have I fucked myself in first semester or is it really the second semester that matters?
