Proofs Course

This is more of a /adv/ question but I'd rather get my answers from /sci/. I had horrible calc teachers for calc 1-3 that have made me lose my interest in math. They completely disregarded theory and taught us how to be machines that can solve problems. Wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and then took a proof-based course that reinvigorated them with a love for the subject. I started university as a math/philosophy double major but if the math you continue to learn is all application-based I might as well switch to fucking compsci.
