i like his blog, since it actually is an active and good blog about high-energy theory, but his opinions are mostly cringe. like when he reviewed steven gubser's book (RIP based steven, fuck mountains desu), he ignored the entire book and focused on REEEEing about string theory in his typical "i nitpick everything string related" way.

his blog would be great if somehow he got converted over to string theory and became the logical, non-alt-right-troll version of Lubos. but unfortunately he is stuck in string theory denial with the Smolin/Hosstardfelder dumbasses

even Polchinski was like "Smolin's book was completely dishonest, but Woit's book was just nitpicky and douchey" and never spent much effort on Woit. because i think based Joe (also RIP, wtf bros) realized Woit wasn't being a shithead, just a nitpicky naysayer full of resentment of having missed the string theory train
