I've been wondering how to determine a reputable source from an unreputable source, and I don't understand the scientific jargon, symbols, and numbers. I've been on some boards and I've seen and heard some skeptics and doctors banter on about how ancient medicine and spirits and the paranormal are bullshit, but when there is a study conducted on that topic and it says that some of this is real, they say the study is bullshit but never really dive into the study to determine why it is bullshit. I get that you can't study something you can't observe, but with the right tools and methodology, you can observe pretty much anything I believe. For example, you have a person claiming to astral project, so you get an object of some sort, hide it from the view of the person astral projecting then when they astral project they are able to view the object, come back into the real world, and report what they found. Are these doctors and skeptics right, or are they just being ideologically indoctrinated by atheists? Also, how do I determine whether a journal is being quacked?
