If you type any of their video topics into google you can get hundreds of news articles with the exact same content.

I've been told that kurzgesagt is just supposed to be basic stuff to get people interested or "educational" but it's at best an attempt at entertainment. I'm getting pissed because I keep talking to people and friends who cite kurgesagt as if they are even remotely up to date on issues, and they go around arguing about how we need some policy or law to prevent some immoral thing from happening. Nevermind the innumerable teachers I had in highschool and now college who play their fucking videos in class because they think it's educational or something. As much of a faggot as hank was at least the crash course science videos were useful.

Meanwhile god tier channels like Applied Science and the Thought Emporium took 4 years before they were recommended to me but their shitty knockoff counter parts like Applied Engineering are in my recommended every other week.
