If humans were not meant to be monogamous, and to separate every few years (a theory that's seemingly thrown out there a lot), then what happens when a child is born? Children, as we all know, typically turn out fucked up when either parental figure is missing.
Are the children fucked up form a societal standpoint? Or are they more fucked up than that?
If they are strictly fucked up from a societal standpoint, then without the formation of a society, they wouldn't be so fucked up, right? So not being monogamous would make sense from a natural level.
On the other hand, if they're more fucked up than that, then monogamy is naturally normal. It would only make sense for people to stay together at least until the child turns 18 to ensure the child has developed properly.
What is your take on this?
