So I'm currently studying Computer Engineering for the sole purpose of being a developer. I'm doing this because I've always wanted to study engineering, its a challenge and partly because I like the prestige of it. Now, I go to school in Massachusetts and will soon transfer out. I'm planning on applying to Umass Amnherst, Boston Uni, Tufts, Northeastern and possibly Cornell. Though I think I'll most likely go to Umass Amherst. See Umass Amherst has a really good CS program from what I read its undergraduate was rated #38 in the nation and its graduate/whole college as being in the top 25. Its making me really consider just transferring into the CS department. Am I stupid as fuck for going down the Com Engineering rout even though I just want to be a dev. Not sure what to do.
