>>11224882I don't see how this is effective or necessary, but I'm excited/scared to get to this point.
I took 17 credits last semester, with O-Chem, Linear Algebra, Physics 1 (for sci/engineers), a CAD class (EZ), and an online art class (EZ) and finished with A's in all of them (I'm not trying to flex because I'm aware these are all pretty introductory courses), and I probably spent about 4-6 hours per day out of class studying.
I would say that studying focused and potently for six hours a day, then using what time you have left to do what you can with the following priorities is most important:
1. Work at any jobs you have to pay through college
2. Work out and exercise
3. Be social, go on dates, and maybe even serve
4. Eating a dedicated, full fledged meal(s)
5. Sleeping for as much as possible
So far (3 semesters in?) this works great for me. I've maintained a 4.0 while having more than enough friends, staying in good physical condition, and not going absolutely insane from lack of sleep. The only exception to the 6 hour a day rule that I make is on Sundays, where I try not to study at all for rest, and on finals week, where I studied for 30 hours over the span of a Friday-Saturday-Sunday weekend.
