>>11223945Dumbfuck, mathematics is literally the study of how to bolster good intuition and stomp out misconception. Intuition and rigor go hand in hand - you cannot separate the two in math. Engineering is the study of applying these things to problems that can usually be stated without the formalization (ie. “How can we make a robot autonomously walk?” versus “topological methods in decision problems related to motion planning” though this is more a CS topic). Different priorities means different communication. Both are fine, both are high impact in their spheres, and both should stop jerking themselves off.
But yes I agree engineering majors suck at math big time
