does anybody know anything about BRST symmetry? i am asking from a particle physics perspective -- i know lots of renormalization techniques and stuff, but sometimes people mention BRST symmetry and it makes no sense to me.

anybody know a good way to explain WTF BRST symmetry is? is it related to supersymmetry? apparently it is but i don't understand how that would relate to e.g. renormalizing normal yang mills theory or anything in the standard model
