This whole thing is good, but cut to 24 minutes, which talks of "escaping the universe" "baby universes" and "cosmic darwinism". You might say DNA already achieved this on the small scale through self-replication. Hence "cosmic darwinism", I suppose. But this is not "true" immortality, neither on the small or on the cosmic scale. Everyone knows that the key to data preservation is redundancy. Because unforeseeable events could take place which wipe out the original and the copy. So one copy is never enough. Let's go further. Like a network of neurons in the brain, each node is connected to every other through a high bandwidth (and high bandwidth is key) connection, such that they all manifest to each other as a single, unbroken entity, much like neurons in the brain. That way, if a few nodes die, as often happens in the brain, the whole feels just as unified as ever. So it's not even enough to have baby universes, but a whole network of universes. This is the only possible way for true immortality to be achievable, if it is achievable at all.
