Some crappy company shipped me the wrong order and demands that I return them their mishipped items before they send me my actual order. I told them that the hours I will be busy the day they expect me to ship it, they disregarded me completely, told me they'll email me a shipping label to print(what?) and closed my ticket. Of course this will take long enough to not be able to use the heavy boots I bought to visit my family during the holidays in their cold climate which is a huge bummer. They accidentally sent me some genuine leather handcrafted boots which fit me nicely. I told that to a friend that once heard about a physics major shipping dry ice in a similar situation so that the initial weigh in is the same as the weight of the boots but it evaporates by the time it gets there, indicating a stolen item somewhere in the trip. Is that feasible? I found a supplier but I guess I won't have much time to ship it after buying dry ice, I assume I can't store it in my freezer. How fast does it evaporate? Would a regular pair of boots amount of weight evaporate in 5-7 days during shipping? Is there any trace? Any help to scam a crappy company /sci/?
