it's real it's happening its our fault things are getting hot but... what's the peoblem?

let's say we don't do shit and let global warming take its predicted path.
what next? the ice caps fully melt, but that's not an overnight event. the seawater raise will be gradual giving us time to move everyone from coastal ares to somewhere else. or rather, it gives the citezens enough time to run to somewhere else as the coasts become more and more uninhabitable. or maybe even we pull a Netherlands on all major coastal cities.

so what's the deal? everyone says we are fucked, the ice caps are melting, Polar bears going to extinction, blablabla. but is there even a reason for us to care? as humans, capitalist selfish humans, humans who care about their own well-being, why do we care so much? guilt and fear of change? will climate change inconvenience us or will it straight up kill us?
