A drosophila has 135.000 neurons.
The average CPU now has 1.5 billion transistors.
We can build gigantic clusters where hundreds of CPUs work together, and yet we can't replicate something that has much less complexity like the fly's brain.
We can't even do that for a Rotifer and that has only 200 neurons on the brain.
Can someone explain to me why that is? Why can't we assign even an entire CPU to mimick one neuron in a rotifer's brain and get a 1:1 perfect simulation?
