So the science behind PrEP is that it blocks reverse transcriptase from HIV so it doesn't profilate. So what happens if you take it. You reach therapeutic concentration in your blood after 2 weeks, then you have sex with some guy with HIV. Then you take it for a week after that. Then you stop? I feel like the virus doesn't just go away and removing the PrEP treatment will let them do what they were programmed to do. Essentially, I think you have to be on PrEP for life because you will act as a reservoir for the virus. Does anyone concur?
