It isn't. Your subjective bias towards those features is probably influencing your opinion that it just looks better. Imo men with a slightly prominent brow ridge are significantly more masculine and defined. To some degree women need it too because to me a perfectly smoothed over face with minimal protrusions and defined features is boring and "fishy".

Certainly if it's substantial it's a problem, but I don't think it's a universal that brow bossing is ugly. For women it's probably viewed as a non-feminine feature, but for men I don't really see a big difference.

Not gonna bother taking and posting a pic but I have a LEGENDARY brow bone. I've always been a bit insecure about it. I'm pretty attractive and boyish otherwise, or so people tell me (that face classification website that was around back in november kept labeling me as 'adonis') but when I point it out to people they always go "holy shit you're right" and start laughing

Essentially, one's maxillary position determines how forward grown your skull and bones are thus internalizing attractiveness

Not only is forward growth essential, however skeletal neoteny, skeletal robustness and sexual dimorphism is what polarizes both sexes into choosing a future mate.
