We have 8 hydrogens total.
The singlet at 2.5 is the OH hydrogen. The triplet at 3.5 accounting for two hydrogens is almost certainly a methylene group adjacent to the OH (causing it to be shifted downfield a bit) and another methylene group (causing the splitting).
So far we have R-CH2-CH2-OH. We still have 3 hydrogens to assign so that's probably a methyl group giving us CH3-CH2-CH2-OH AKA propanol. If this is what we have then we would also expect to see a doublet (from the methyl group) and a sextet (from the other methylene group) up-field and, while the NMR is messy, that seems like a reasonable interpretation of what we have between 0.5 and 2.0 ppm.
