I want to study computer science, but how do i purse this goal and learn the more mathematical side of this subject in order to avoid the retarded engineering inferiority that is now commonly associated with computer science majors?

If you are unable to find a good cs program that satisfies your mathematical wants; simply study math and take cs courses on the side. Then if you like you could continue with full cs for your masters degree.

Also to follow up on my post;
If you like CS, chances are you will have to be decebt at some of the engineering tasks, e.g. being able to write readable, correct code, being able to do some softwaredesign, being able to write performant (hereunder parallel) programs.
In my opinion this is what makes computer science interesting; ultimately you will be able to take problems from math and other areas and solve these with computers.
