You can be skeptical of individual reports of course, but it's not like science has a monopoly on what you ought to take from examinations of phenomenology, such that you should automatically assume anything is bullshit unless it already exists in peer reviewed form. The issue here is, a matter of, "how much trust should I place in these practitioners that their self reports are honest attempts at rigorous observation", and that will depend on the individuals in question. If you want to continue to believe it's all just a bunch of baloney then I don't blame you, but from what I've seen I wouldn't remotely put more serious Yogis in the same category as the kind of people who fall for crystal healing.
