>>11205133How the hell do I figure out what type of mental illness I have? I live almost entirely inside my head, little social interactions, very hard to keep conversation when interacting with others, gets awkward fast, very clumsy in general, repetitive behavior, hard to switch between activities, get stuck in thought patterns when doing maths, However, I began reading at 3 years old, and speaking very early. Also I think I can read social situations well, I can tell what's happening, when someone's subtly making fun of someone, or makes a subtle pun, joke, but never know what to do in social situations myself. And not for lack of trying, I spent a lot of time among other people trying to make friends, but never formed any real bonds. Some of this sounds like autism, while other things like being able to read nonverbal communication and sarcasm do not.
