I really do not want to sound like some narcissistic snob, but ignorant people can really piss me off. I spent most of my time among like-minded people, engineers, mathematicians, artists etc. But sometimes I get to meet and/or talk with some random normal(?) people and their conversations are fucking worst. The way they perceive the world, ideas they hold(or lack of), how easily they allow to be manipulated by media/others without a second thought, how ridiculously shallow all their interests are. Like how tasteless do you have to be to recommend movie/series/whatever solely because it's so popular and that's it? Why do they vendor lock themselves to whatever is available only on single platform (Netflix/PS4/iphone), don't even try to look beyond them. Why do they have to ask "what's good to watch on Netflix now?" instead of "recommend me some good Sci-Fi movie"? And then they'll start whining about being bored etc even though they could just spend that hour to analyze what they actually enjoy and look for more content beyond "top 10 movies 1019" from random social media. And if you ask them why they won't do it, or why won't they fix some basic issue they have, they will just come with countless empty excuses that make no sense or can be solved by 10min google search. Instead they'll go waste whole day watching some random popular series, and complain about boredom. And the absolute worst is when they are aware of it all and they take fucking pride in being stupid. They keep complaining and when you provide a solution, they give up after 15min, "I'm to stupid to do this", call you a nerd and continue boring, pointless life. How can people be so ignorant? This is literally rejecting your humanity. Pathetic self-defeat. People like this are literally driving me mad.

Does anyone else feel like that? How do you handle it?
