Holy shit, do Americans actually use Fahrenheit? I thought this shit was a meme? How do they tell what temperature water freezes and boils at? When someone has a fever over 100 degrees do Americans actually believe that that person is boiling from the inside?

Everyone who uses Fahrenheit learns extremely early on that water freezes at ‘32 Fahrenheit.
Nothing about Celsius innately tells you that the 0’ is set at the freezing point of water, so they are functionally identical in this respect.

More precise than C as there are 180 degrees between boiling and freezing. Considering most C thermostats and forecast do not subdivide (e.g. 20.5 degrees), your Fahrenheit is going to be more precise. 180 is better than 100. Humans perceive by touch to quarter degree increases in C by the way so essentially havling your precision because brainlets find it easier is not worth it. I was raised with both, and prefer C for scientific experiments, and F for when idiots give me the forecast or sell me a thermostat.

Weather forecast will never have that degree of precision since ambient temperature fluctuates depending on where you're standing. The temp. you're told is an average.
