>>11202877>>11202917>>11202941just to weigh in here, i think it's pretty clear that mainstream POLITICS is totally out of touch with science. everyone agrees that "politics is more polarized than ever" which translates to the fact that "the narrative of politics is overrun by ideological extremists" not because real people have all become ideological extremists, but rather because the ideological extreme views are the easiest to advertise to the brainlet masses of America.
in reality, moderates still exist, and though highly educated humanities majors tend to gravitate toward the extreme ideologies, in my experience scientifically educated people tend to become moderates. unfortunately their voice is not represented in the mainstream politics or media or anywhere, since being moderate is not a sexy advertising scheme that sheep herders use to herd the sheep.
in reality, the scientific truth lies very much in a middle ground between the political shill crap.
trumpists who quote trump saying "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive." and SJW leftist extremists saying "Western colonialist patriarchy means we are doomed to perish, the only solution is to smash the patriarchy!!!!" are both completely retarded scientifically.
the real truth is that there is a climate problem and it can be solved. the reason it hasn't been solved is because it is politicized to the point where the discussion is totally nonproductive. it is the ideologues who are stopping any real solution from being realized. and by that i mean that "muh solar and wind" idiots are just as bad as "trump digs coal!" retards.
