I’m a graduate of philosophy based in New Zealand turning 30 this month and I’m looking for some advice on career trajectory - any advice people are willing to offer (In b4 /adv/ those guys have no idea about this stuff).
I’m planning on attaining a bachelor’s degree in computer systems engineering, working for a big tech company in the US (ideally Google), then pursuing entrepreneurship.
I intend to study at the University of Auckland where there is an exchange program to Berkeley that I hope to take advantage of. If all goes according to plan, I will have a BE by the age of 37 having studied at Berkeley, will then pursue work for big tech (hopefully attaining a visa to work in the United States), and then transition into entrepreneurship.
What are your thoughts on all this? All perspectives and advice welcome.
