It's a really wide field - theory (complexity, recursion, domains, algorithms, comp. top, etc) is definitely mathematics, with now science coming in with light ontology / natural computation / quantum complexity theory. The more applied side (ie throwing a computer at a problem in another is seen in fields like bioinformation, computational chem, etc. The more engineering side is definitely systems/OS, embedded, learning on signals, cache design, hardware/software interfacing, networks, compiler design, etc. So really, it depends what part of CS you're talking about
