In particular, I go to math club and the women there just as capable of contributing to solving problems (sometimes they do), but they seem more interested in socialising among themselves about their lives. The mantra is true: women are people oriented, men are oriented towards "things". I think the reason they're math majors (except for one girl who aside from appearance, is very masculine) is largely due to social pressures (e.g. defying social roles).
