I'm a lecturer at an aerospace department and teach future aerospace engineers. In about 6 years you will all die if you take a plane, because in the last years uni made it super easy to pass. I've corrected an exam recently where 6 students claimed 1*2 = 3 (3rd semester).

It's all about money now. Uni is optimized for getting and keeping as many students as possible.
