Is there a list somewhere of open conjectures in mathematics? I know there are some famous lists of incredibly difficult problems, but is there a way to find reasonably difficult problems without having to stay super up to date on modern research?

if you think you are smart and informed enough to tackle unsolved problems in mathematics, then for sure you should be able to do this sort of research on your own. the fact that you can't even figure this out for yourself indicates you are not up to the task.

I ask because I had a friend come to me with some conjectures he couldn't solve in his comp sci thesis which related to graph theory. I was able to solve them, only to find that they had actually already been solved only ~10 years ago. Made me think I could try some open problems, but I don't know of any good databases.
