What does /sci/ think of the current search for the center of the universe? Some scientists say they're pretty close and finding where the big bang started would be a big deal

Is it possible to find it? I thought the universe was like a balloon blowing up where the spacetime we exist in is like the surface of the balloon and the big bang would have been in the center, where there is no more space. Or maybe thats just bullshit I made up.

Ofcourse theres a center, the big bang had to start somewhere. Plus because of the speed of light the light from the big bang wouldn't have reached earth yet.
