Here's the story of my academic career, and maybe some of you can input some advice on where to go. I'm a little lost and just want to write some words out.
I'm a university student, junior year, but this is technically my first year at an actual university since I had attended university for two years beforehand. I was accepted into an early university program in my third year of High School, then bombed out with a D in calculus because I never studied. So then I attended the community college for the rest of my credits and learned exactly how to study the bare minimum - here I am in my junior year, B's in math classes and A's in all my CS classes since they're piss easy. It's not even that math classes are hard for me. I just never fucking study until the day before the test and get B's, same with homework, same with fucking everything. CS is so incredibly easy to me, too - I even landed a paid internship as a full stack developer and my first month in I'm already helping senior developers with their problems.
Where do I go from here? Being an application and web developer is such a mundane life, but it pays well and the hours are extremely generous and flexible. I've always wanted to get a PhD in cybersecurity or cryptography or something and become a big cheese name in Comp Sci, but there's two problems with that. I'm extremely lazy and with my B's, I'll never get into a respectable university name. I've been admitted for a test into an extremely exclusive CS program at my university, but I don't fucking study for that either. I'm a fucking mess. Do I just give up and enjoy my life as a code monkey? The PhD seems so daunting at this point, and I'm honestly not sure it's worth it.
